A native of Vietnam, Michelle is the Cofounder of GIVE 365 BR, a charitable organization founded in 2018. In 1975, Michelle and her parents returned to the United States settling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she began her triumphant life journey.

Michelle serves as a Program Manager for the Long Term Care Abuse Reporting program for the State of Louisiana. As an integral part of the team, Michelle is responsible for ensuring the longer term care facilities maintain regulatory compliance with current state and federal standards.

Michelle graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant, with Magna Cum Laude honors. Michelle went on to earn an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA, later becoming a Registered Nurse. Michelle began her nursing career at Earl K. Long Medical Center in 2001, as a member of the Labor and Delivery Unit. Michelle’s nurturing presence and incomparable quality of care, she eloquently delivered to her patients, earned her the Nurse of Excellence award, presented by the Healthcare Journal of Baton Rouge. Michelle was also one of twenty-three outstanding nurses honored at the annual “Celebrate Nursing Event,” presented by the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association. Michelle continued to soar in her profession receiving a certification in Inpatient Obstetrics, recognized by the National Certification Corporation. In 2007, Michelle transitioned from the Labor and Delivery Unit at Earl K. Long to the Louisiana State University Obstetrical & Gynecology Clinic where she was promoted to Clinic Supervisor until 2013, when Earl K. Long Medical Center ceased operations. Michelle reminds herself daily of a quote by Cesar Chaves, “We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community. Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own”.

Michelle has been married to her loving husband, Randy, for more than 20 years. Together they’ve raised 3 magnificent children and own and operate Randy’s Automotive and Randy’s Towing Service. When Michelle isn’t catapulting herself into her work, she enjoys manicuring her lawn, watching the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers play football, growing spiritually at Lakewood Church, and spending time with family. Michelle believes a good deed is never lost: He who sows courtesy reaps friendship; and he who plants kindness, gathers love.
